Abcourt withdraws preliminary prospectus and terms of private placement

Abcourt Mines Inc. (TSX-V: ABI) has announced that the Company determined that it will not proceed with the new issue of units of the Company previously announced on May 18, 2012.

As part of the prospectus review process, the Company received comments from the securities regulators in respect of its Abcourt-Barvue property, in particular relating to the requirement to file a technical report to support technical information relating to such property, as significant drilling results have recently been disclosed by the Company. As previously announced in its latest management discussion & analysis, the Company will be working on a technical report on the Abcourt-Barvue property in the next months in order to update the resources and reserves in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects and will file such technical report as soon as available. The Company wishes to confirm that the comments raised by the securities regulators do not relate to the mineral resource and reserve estimates published for the Abcourt-Barvue property in 2007.

Blackthorn presents ammended joint venture project – mineral resource upgrade

Blackthorn Resources (ASX: BTR) has filed an an amended version of the Perkoa Joint Venture Project – Mineral Resource Upgrade announcement released yesterday.

The third paragraph on page 5 has been amended to now read:

“Negotiation of the detailed Project financing arrangements for the incremental capital necessary to fund the expansion case has been concluded in anticipation of a final investment decision by Blackthorn Resources. The financing arrangements are substantially in line with the provisions of the term sheet agreed with Glencore in mid-2011 and are to be incorporated in amended provisions of the Senior Facility Agreement. Additional consequential amendments are also being drafted to other Perkoa JV Transaction Documents to reflect the agreed Project finance terms for the expansion
proposal.”

The company also updated Mineral Resources estimate at the Perkoa JV Project.

Goldrush announces 99 percent increase of oxide gold resource at the Ronguen Gold Deposit in Burkina Faso, West Africa

Goldrush Resources Ltd. (TSX-V: GOD) has received a new mineral resource statement for its Ronguen deposit in Burkina Faso West Africa.

For oxide resources the new resource contains 150,000 ounces of gold in the Measured category (4.143 million tonnes grading 1.12 grams of gold per tonne (“gpt Au”); 159,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category (3.861 million tonnes grading 1.28 gpt Au); and 8,000 ounces in the Inferred category (136,000 tonnes grading 1.91 gpt Au) using a cut-off grade of 0.4 gpt gold. In addition, the bottom of the conceptual pit shell used to constrain the mineral resource statement for the Ronguen deposit is estimated to contain 23,000 ounces of gold in the Measured and Indicated categories in fresh rock (483,000 tonnes grading 1.51 gpt Au) and 44,000 ounces of gold in the Inferred category (754,000 tonnes grading 1.83 gpt Au), at a cut-off grade of 0.7 gpt Au.

Dr. Brownlie stated, “We are very encouraged by the potential to develop a heap leach, open pit operation at Ronguen. We intend to complete a Preliminary Economic Assessment as we continue to explore the “blue sky” potential related to this thrust fault hosted deposit where targets for additional mineralization are located on the potential extension of the South Zone, at depth in the Main Zone and on a parallel zone located within one kilometre to the north of the Main Zone, as well as at unexplored and underexplored areas of potential on the Kongoussi 1 and Tikare permits.”

Baobab updates drilling at Ruoni Flats

Baobab Resources Plc (AIM:BAO) has provided an update on drilling at the Tete pig iron, vanadium and titanium project. IFC (International Finance Corporation) hold a 15% participatory interest in the Tete Project with Baobab owning the remaining 85%.

HIGHLIGHTS

Drilling programmes in the Ruoni prospect area are nearing conclusion with more than 7,500m of diamond and reverse circulation (RC) drilling completed to date.
Drilling at Ruoni Flats, where a 120Mt to 260Mt Exploration Target has been estimated by consultant Coffey Mining, has intersected a heavily mineralised package, up to 100m thick, that clearly represents the downdip continuations to the Ruoni North and Tenge resource blocks.
Resource upgrade drilling is on-going at Chitongue Grande, Ruoni North and Ruoni South resource blocks.
2011 RC drilling of the down-dip portions of the 159Mt Tenge resource block terminated in mineralisation due to excessive water. Recently completed diamond twin holes have penetrated deeper through the sequence and demonstrate that the mineralised package is substantially thicker than that modelled in the resource estimate.

An expanded resource in the tenge/Ruoni area will enable the Company to credibly consider larger scale production scenarios, the technical and commercial merits of which will be further clarified as the results of the marketing study and high level financial simulations are finalised. Baobab looks forward to presenting the drill hole analytical results as they become available.

“The pre-feasibility study is progressing on schedule. The beneficiation test work is nearing completion, on the back of which the process engineering can get underway. The environmental impact assessment, plant and infrastructure option studies and marketing report are all well underway. In parallel to the technical programmes, the Company is advancing corporate initiatives to ensure the project’s successful development.

Bengal Announces Start of Cuisinier Drilling Campaign

Bengal Energy Ltd. (TSX: BNG) has announced that the 2012 Cuisinier drilling campaign on the Barta Block portion of ATP 752P in the Cooper Basin, Australia, has commenced with the first of four wells spud on May 20, 2012.

The 2012 appraisal drilling program is following the 100% success of the first four wells previously drilled at Cuisinier with the last of these four wells, Barta North 1 awaiting tie-in and first production.

PAW Announces Formal Documentation Preparation Underway on Financing Options

Process plant on PanTerra’s Las Lagunas gold/silver project now operational

PanTerra Gold Limited (ASX: PGI) has commenced processing at its Las Lagunas gold/silver project in the Dominican Republic.

High grade refractory tailings from the Pueblo Viejo m mine (3.8 g/t Au, 38.6 g/t Ag) are currently being fed to the Albion/CIL process plant at around 30% of the planned throughput, which is expected to increase to 50% next month. Full production of the 70,000tpm should be achieved by September 2012.

The first gold pour will occur after carbon in the CIL tanks has fully absorbed the precious metals from the cyanide solution within the tanks, after which the metal will be stripped during a batch elution and subsequent electrowinning/smelting process, to produce 15kg bars of dore the dore will be mamde up of approximately 10% gold and 90% silver. First dore production is expected by mid-June 2012.

Weekly production will be air freighted to Geneva where it will be refined prior to delivery of gold and silver to London Metal Exchange warehouse for storage sale. The first sales proceeds should be received in July 2012 and build up progressively over four months to an income of around US$9 million per month after refining costs (at a gold price of US$1400 per ounce and a silver price of US$28.00 per ounce).

Cue Energy advances drilling at Naga Selatan Well-1, Mahakam Hilir PSC, Indonesia

Cue Energy Resources Ltd (ASX: CUE) has provided the following update regarding the drilling of the Naga Selatan-1 well. The well is located within the Mahakam Hilir PSC in the Kutei Basin, Indonesia. The well operator is SPC Mahakam Hilir Pte. Ltd.

The Naga Selatan (Southern Dragon) prospect is situated approximately 7.5km to the west of the producing Sanga-Sanga oilfield.

As of the 22nd May 2012, the 9 ⅝ inch casing has been set at a depth of 5,000 feet MD (measured depth). The well is currently drilling ahead having reached a depth of 5,475ft MD. The plan is to drill ahead in 8 ½ inch hole to the well TD (Total Depth) of 6,500 feet and evaluate with wire-line logging.

Additional target at Subbao Grid for Amerix

Amerix Precious Metals Corp. (TSX-V: APM) has begun at the Limão Gold Property located in the Tapajós Gold Province, Pará State, Brazil. In addition, the Company provides an exploration update from its program of gridded soil sampling and rock sampling.

During 2011 and 2012, two separate soil sample grids, called the Subbão Grid and the Reconnaissance Grid, were established over a small scale artisanal mine and over regional magnetic geophysical and topographic lineaments respectively. These grids are separate from the Limão Pit, South Grid, and Jambu Zone described in News Release 2012 – 4, dated April 2, 2012.
