Reed Resources (ASX: RDR) has commissioned and paid for a report by Hallgarten and Company, which has predicted that only four of the many companies currently looking to make it in the lithium mining industry will actually succeed.
Hallgarten and Company have released a 20-page report on the lithium industry and, more specifically, Reed Resources role in it. The report also touches on the vanadium industry and potential avenues for Reed to progress it’s Barrambie vanadium project.
In drawing to a conclusion, Hallgarten opines that “Lithium producers can be likened to an exclusive club that throws open its doors only every ten years and one or two parties squeeze through before the door closes and wannabes are left crying on the curb. The dramatic uplift in lithium demand over coming years can accommodate several new players while the rest will wither on the vine like the uranium fad of 2007. When the door crack opens later in 2010, it will be Galaxy, Reed and Rincon who barge into the hallowed halls. Orocobre whould be able to follow in their footsteps a year or two down the track.”
