Signature Metals sees gold in core November 18, 2009

Signature Metals (ASX: SBL) provides an update on the current drill programme at the Konongo Gold Project, located in the world class Ashanti Gold Belt of Ghana.
Visible gold has been observed in core from drill hole 09KGRD007 (pictures in the attached announcement). While samples are yet to be submitted to the laboratory the presence of visible gold is highly significant given the results from past drilling on the project.
Four diamond core holes have been completed for a total of 1883 metres. Hole 09KGDR007 is in progress with 195 metres drilled to date. Results from holes 09KGDR001 and 09KGDR003 have been released previously and include results such as:
- 14 metres at 5.44g/t gold from 129 metres (09KGDR001)
- including 5 metres at 9.39g/t gold from 129 meters
- including 4 meters of stope material from 134 metres
- 10 metres at 5.70g/t gold from 173 metres (09KGDR003)
- including 4 metres at 10.4g/t gold from 174 meters
- 4 meters at 10.5g/t gold from 127 metres (09KGDR003)
- 3 meters at 10.4g/t gold from 159 metres (09KGDR003)
