Riversdale appoints new Non Executive Director January 29, 2009

Riversdale Mining (ASX: RIV) augmented its board today with the appointment of Mr Gary Lawler as an independent Non Executive Director.
Mr Lawler is a leading Australian mergers and acquisitions lawyer and a partner with Gilbert and Tobin Lawyers. During his 30 years of practice he has been involved in some of Australia’s most notable M&A transactions, acting for local and international public and private companies as well as investment banks.
Riversdale’s Executive Chairman, Mr Michael O’Keeffe, has said: “We are extremely pleased to have been able to attract someone with the caliber of Mr Lawler. This is the first step in appointing additional independent, non executive directors and restructuring the Riversdale board.”
